Kindergarten

Kindergarten Summer School is going to be a fun adventure! ZOOM with us online for two hours of teacher-directed, hands-on learning! Classes run Monday-Thursday; 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m. We will study LIFE CYCLES IN NATURE and continue to practice Kindergarten math skills!

Students will participate in the following activities:

  • Play Doh Smash it Subtraction
  • Planting a seed
  • Learning about solids, liquids, and gases while eating freeze pops 
  • Math games
  • Butterfly Life Cycle Craft
  • Interactive Read Alouds
  • Cloud Project
  • Meeting new friends
  • Singing and dancing

We hope to see you there for loads of fun! 

STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO LOG IN DAILY FOR BOTH LIVE ZOOM CLASSES.

First Grade

In first grade, students will learn about the PHYSICS OF FORCES IN MOTION. ZOOM with us online for two hours of teacher-directed, hands-on learning! Classes run Monday-Thursday; 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

Students will participate in the following activities:

  • Engineering and design processes
  • Math games with manipulatives
  • STEM challenges featuring Marble Mazes and Elevator Design
  • Architecture and design
  • Designing and testing catapults
  • Design and build a car and a kite
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO LOG IN DAILY FOR BOTH LIVE ZOOM CLASSES.

Second Grade

In scond grade, students will learn about HABITATS AND THE ENVIRONMENT. ZOOM with us online for two hours of teacher-directed, hands-on learning! Classes run Monday-Thursday; 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

Students will participate in the following activities:

  • Create bird nests from natural materials
  • Math games and solutions
  • Create your own alien and its habitat
  • Zoo animal habitat project
  • Design a water filtration system
  • STEM activities
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO LOG IN DAILY FOR BOTH LIVE ZOOM CLASSES.

Third Grade

In 3rd grade students will learn about POLLINATOR POWER, and explore why pollinators such as butterflies, birds and bees are important to human life. ZOOM with us online for two hours of teacher-directed, hands-on learning! Classes run Monday-Thursday; 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

Students will participate in the following activities:

  • Pollination simulation activities
  • Analyze solutions to attract pollinators to their communities
  • Create a food and energy chain
  • Track how far it takes for their favorite food to go from farm to fork
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO LOG IN DAILY FOR BOTH LIVE ZOOM CLASSES.

Fourth Grade

In fourth grade, students will learn about POLLUTION AND CLIMATE CHANGE, and the impacts on planet earth. ZOOM with us online for two hours of teacher-directed, hands-on learning! Classes run Monday-Thursday; 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

Students will participate in the following activities:

  • Alternative energy resources
  • Explore creative solutions that make going green starts with me possible
  • Global climate change
  • Energy production
  • Pollution
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO LOG IN DAILY FOR BOTH LIVE ZOOM CLASSES.

Fifth Grade

In fifth grade, students will engage in exploring WEATHER AND TIME, and their impacts on planet earth. ZOOM with us online for two hours of teacher-directed, hands-on learning! Classes run Monday-Thursday; 10-11 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.

Students will participate in the following activities:

  • Create sundials to tell time and track the moon phases
  • Explore weather patterns
  • Create weather instruments
  • Research and report on catastrophic weather events
  • Examine weather and its impacts on communities
  • Analyze weather-related safety precautions
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO LOG IN DAILY FOR BOTH LIVE ZOOM CLASSES.

Sixth Grade

In sixth grade, students will engage in learning Math and Literacy through games and STEM projects. ZOOM with us live and online for 3 hours of teacher-directed, daily hands-on learning! The 6th grade daily schedule is Monday- Thursday with classes at the following times: 9-10 a.m. • 10:15-11:15 a.m. • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Sixth-grade students will be assigned 3 of the following 4 courses:

  • STEM ACTIVITIES 1 (featuring engineering, design, and agricultural projects)
  • Create Your Own Superhero 1 (featuring design, drawing, storyboarding, and writing) OR The Leader in Me 1 ( featuring leadership attributes, exploration, and project-based individual leadership exploration)
  • Math Games 1 (featuring fun and engaging Math skill building activities)
  • The Garage (featuring music production and music performance)
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO LOG IN DAILY FOR ALL 3 LIVE ZOOM CLASSES.

Seventh Grade

In seventh grade, students will engage in learning Math and Literacy through projects, games, and STEM activities. ZOOM with us live and online for 3 hours of teacher-directed, daily hands-on learning! The seventh grade daily schedule is Monday- Thursday with classes at the following times: 9-10 a.m. • 10:15-11:15 a.m. • 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Seventh-grade students will be assigned 3 of the following 4 courses:
