World's Best Workforce Plan
Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 strives to provide the best educational opportunities for all children. Providing an education to our students that leads to creating the world’s best workforce is a goal that must be addressed early on in every child’s life. Students are more likely to reach this goal if they are ready for school upon entering kindergarten; achieve grade level literacy by grade three; graduate from high school and attain career and college readiness. The District 191 Strategic plan guides the creation and implementation of the World's Best Workforce plan.
The World's Best Workforce plan is intended to serve as a foundational document to align educational initiatives that serve to ensure reaching intended student outcomes from pre-kindergarten to post high school graduation.
Progress outcomes used to determine district and school site progress include:
- closing the identified achievement gap(s) in the district
- all students ready for kindergarten
- all students in third grade achieving grade level literacy
- all students attaining career and college readiness before graduating from high school
- all students graduating from high school
District 191 publicly reports data on an annual basis related to equitable teacher distribution, including data on access for low-income students, students of color, and American Indian students to effective, experienced, and in-field teachers.
District 191 publicly reports data on an annual basis related to student access to racially and ethnically diverse teachers.
