Teaching & Learning
Assessments
The District 191 Assessment Plan is designed to ensure accountability. It uses multiple measurements (State and local tests as well as classroom assessments) to assess student achievement.
Curriculum Review
Curriculum development occurs in six phases: review, establishing core curriculum, instructional materials recommendation, piloting, implementation and professional development, and continuous improvement.
Comprehensive Achievement & Civic Readiness
All school districts in Minnesota are required to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to support and improve teaching and learning. In addition to the academic goals, a key focus of the Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness (CACR) legislation is ensuring that all students are prepared to be active members of their community.
Achievement & Integration
Through the Achievement & Integration Plan, District 191 and ISD 194 are partner districts aiming to pursue racial and economic integration and to increase academic achievement, create equitable educational opportunities, and reduce academic disparities based on students' racial, ethnic and economic backgrounds.
