A comedy called “Road Trippin” is the spring theater production at Metcalf Middle School in Burnsville.
Written and directed by teacher and drama director Steven Orth, the play follows the misguided misadventures of four teens who “borrow” mom’s car and take off into the night on an unplanned and unlimited road trip across the American West.
Join the cast and crew of Nicollet and Metcalf Middle School theaters as they present the classic musical "Singin' in the Rain."
Shows are Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 1-2 at 7 p.m. at the Mraz Center for Performing Arts at Burnsville High School. All seats are $5.
After an embattled student body president resigns in disgrace, Mark Davenport figures he will cruise to victory in the special election. After all, his only opponent is nerdy Christy Martin, who wants to eliminate football. But when a mysterious Super PAC gives her an unlimited budget, things start to get very ugly.
Directed by Steve Orth, Metcalf Junior High drama students will present "Pieces," a series of vignettes written by Orth about difficult situations teenagers may face.
