BHS students receive recognition for fall athletic, activities achievements

Students and teams in District 191 were honored at the Jan. 23 school board meeting. Individuals were recognized for their accomplishments during the fall athletics and activities season at the state or even national level.

"I'm fortunate to see the amazing talent, dedication and character our students show as they participate in activities and athletics throughout the year," said Athletics Director Guillaume Paek, who recognized the individuals before Board Chair Alt, Superintendent Battle and members of the School Board.

2018-19 Homecoming Week begins Oct. 1

Burnsville High School students, staff, alumni and community members will be celebrating homecoming during the week of Oct. 1. There will be many festivities, including themed dress-up days, a student-wide pep assembly, an array of athletic events and the homecoming dance on Saturday night.

Listed below are the scheduled events for homecoming:


Professional Day — No school for students

  • Powder Puff football games @ BHS Pates Stadium — 6-9 p.m.


Senior academic and athletic awards ceremony slated for May 16

Seniors receiving an academic and/or athletic award will be recognized at a ceremony on Monday, May 16 at 7 p.m. in the Mraz Center. 

Invitations to the ceremony have already been sent to students who will be recognized for curricular and co-curricular awards and G.P.A. achievements.

Spring Sports at Metcalf

Students wishing to participate in spring athletics must complete and submit the following to Burnsville High School prior to tryouts or practice. The information can be turned in at anytime up to the start dates. Please submit information as soon as possible.
