Dear Burnsville High School Families,
First and foremost, I hope that each of you and your family is staying healthy as we continue to face this COVID-19 pandemic. It certainly is impacting many aspects of our lives and changing lots of routines all of us are so accustomed to.
This is a reminder that next week beginning Tuesday, May 26th is pick-up/drop-off for our students. Below are the dates specific to each grade level and the times students are to come based on the first letter of their last name. If you have students in multiple grades, you can do pick-up and drop-off for all of them on the day you come. However, seniors need to come on Thursday, May 28 to pick-up their graduation package and return their Chromebook.
PICK-UP/DROP-OFF DATE FOR EACH GRADE
Tuesday, May 26 - 10th grade
Wednesday, May 27 - 11th grade
Thursday, May 28 - Senior Day
Friday, May 29 - 9th grade
PICK-UP/DROP-OFF TIMES FOR EACH STUDENT BASED ON FIRST LETTER OF LAST NAME
8:15 - 10:15 A - F
10:15 - 12:15 G - L
12:15 - 2:15 M - R
2:15 - 4:15 S - Z
This will be done curbside following public health guidelines to keep all safe. When you come, you will enter off of Portland at the roundabout. To have the driver side of your vehicle by the curb, you will take the first left in our parking lot and go around the horseshoe opposite of the normal flow. You will be asked to pull up to one of three stations, stay in your vehicle, put your vehicle in park, and follow the instructions from a greeter who will be at the station. Once your pick-up/drop-off is completed, you will continue to follow curbside and exit the parking lot onto the frontage road by the stadium.
We do ask for your patience and respect as it is possible there may be a line of vehicles waiting for pick-up and drop-off and it may take some time as each vehicle is served. To help facilitate the process, please have all items you are dropping off in a bag, preferably paper grocery bag, clearly labeled with student name and grade and placed in trunk. This way at the station, you can open your trunk (staying inside of your vehicle), and a staff member will be able to take the bag. If you have items to pick-up, those will be placed in your trunk too.
Students can follow the instructions in this Video to view what our records show is checked out to them by the school. It is possible they may have other items not on this list. However, please check this list as it may be a reminder as to what you may have and could drop-off. Also, this is a good time to really go through and look everywhere for books and other school-owned items that may be sitting around.
PLEASE NOTE: STUDENTS IN GRADES 9-11 KEEP THEIR CHROMEBOOKS OVER THE SUMMER, UNLESS THEY WILL NOT BE ATTENDING HERE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR. IF YOU ARE NOT RETURNING NEXT SCHOOL YEAR, PLEASE RETURN YOUR CHROMEBOOK AT DROP-OFF. THE ONLY STUDENTS THAT NEED TO RETURN THEIR CHROMEBOOK ARE SENIORS AND SPECIFIC INFORMATION WILL BE SENT TO THEM.
