Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 residents can learn more about the district’s fall levy referendum at two public informational meetings scheduled for early October. The district will present detailed information about the referendum, tax impact and how to vote, and answer questions from attendees.
The meetings are scheduled for:
Monday, Oct. 7 — 6:30-8 p.m. at Hidden Valley Elementary School, 13875 Glendale Rd., Savage, MN 55378.
Tuesday, Oct. 8 — 6:30-8 p.m. at Sioux Trail Elementary School, 2801 River Hills Dr., Burnsville, MN 55337.
On Nov. 5, 2019, District 191 residents will vote on whether to increase school funding by about $1.7 million. New funding would help the district sustain student support services and educational programming that meets student strengths and needs.
Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 5, 2019. Voters are also able to vote early or by absentee ballot starting on Sept. 20. Early voting can be done by mail or in person at the District 191 offices, 200 W. Burnsville Pkwy in Burnsville, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and until 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4.
