Burnsville High School crowns Homecoming King and Queen

Burnsville High School students crowned seniors Ryan Mokandu and Dago Abebaw as their 2019 Homecoming King and Queen in a coronation ceremony Sept. 26.

Before the coronation ceremony, student council led the student body in an energetic pep fest featuring the marching band, drumline, Blazettes, cheerleading team and the Puffettes.

For the coronation, attendants walked into a darkened gym with a spotlight illuminating their way to the stage. Last year's Homecoming King Andrew Vixayvong and Queen Joy Bogonko were on hand to crown the new king and queen.

See the Homecoming Coronation & Pepfest slideshow.
