At its June 20 meeting, the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 Board of Education approved a budget including $130.1 million in general fund spending for the 2019-20 school year. With revenue expected to be $129.2 million, the district will use about $900,000 from its reserves to cover expenses.
The adopted budget includes $98.7 million, or 76 percent of total spending, for instruction and pupil support.
The budget reflects about $6.7 million in adjustments that had been presented as recommendations and discussed at previous public meetings. To see those detailed recommendations, go to www.isd191.org/budget.
Rider noted that the adopted budget will be revised during the 2019-20 school year to reflect updates to enrollment, staffing, and other factors as they are known.
