Superintendent search timeline, input opportunities are set

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 will have found its next superintendent by late April, according to a search timeline outlined by the Board of Education at a Jan. 22 work session.

The search will kick off with extensive public input opportunities, starting with an online survey opening on Jan. 25. The district will also hold a series of individual interviews, focus groups and a community meeting, all taking place on Monday, Feb. 4.

All of that input will help the Board of Education create a profile of the person who should be the next superintendent. Candidates will be recruited through April 1. Finalists will be interviewed and meet the community in mid-April.

Current Superintendent Cindy Amoroso is retiring on June 30.
