BHS students learning Chromebook repair

Chromebook Repair Training with Acer

On Oct. 26 and 27, computer science students at Burnsville High School participated in a web-conference training to learn common Chromebook repairs, including testing and replacing various components such as the wi-fi card and battery. The training was provided by Acer, which is the company that makes the Chromebooks used by BHS students and teachers.

According to teacher Cindy Drahos, the focus for the training was to help students understand the mechanics of the Chromebook and build confidence that each student can perform duties or be able to access material that will assist them in fixing and repairing Chromebooks.

These and other students in the BHS Geek Squad provide service to other students and staff members as part of the IT Pathway at BHS.
