Burnsville varsity girls tennis team recognized for academic achievement

The Burnsville girls varsity tennis team received an Academic All-State Gold Award, which is given to high school tennis teams with an average team grade point average (GPA) of 3.75-4.0.
"The 2017 Burnsville High School varsity girls tennis team is comprised of talented, intelligent, respectful, hard-working student athletes on and off the tennis court,” said coach Ryan Haddorff.
Haddorff added: “Their academic achievement is a great example of the commitment to success in all aspects of their high school career. I'm confident each player will be successful in any area they choose to focus their time and energy. It was awesome to have this group come together for this season.”
The varsity team consists of seniors Allie Draper, Kendra Gudmonson, Payton Handrahan and Dakotah Walberg; juniors Katie Herzog and Maddie Samz; sophomore Ally Keating; freshmen Brooke Haddorff, Morgan Krumwiede, Hannah Lake and Mara McMahon; and eighth-grader Sami Bowlby.   
Allie Draper received individual Academic All-State, which is awarded to qualifying seniors with a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
