Students to perform at holiday lighting ceremony Nov. 23

Two student musical groups from Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 will perform at the 18th annual Winter Lighting Ceremony in Burnsville from 6 to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, in Nicollet Commons Park, 12600 Nicollet Avenue.

The FreeStyle choir from Burnsville High School will perform under the direction of Erik Akervik. Students in the Sioux Trail Elementary School Choir, under the direction of Oluwatoni Adedeji, will also sing.

Complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes and hot sandwiches will be provided by area businesses. Colorful LED pins will also be for sale at the event.  Proceeds will support the Winter Lighting Event.

This year the Community Foundation is partnering with Thrivent Financial for a Toys for Tots drop-spot. Stop by Burnsville Thrivent (12700 Nicollet Ave., Suite 120-B) with your gift.
