Metcalf students create blankets for children in need

When some students in Laurie King’s Family and Consumer Science class at Metcalf Junior High in Burnsville finished their sewing assignments, they took on another project. They created tied blankets to donate to Project Linus, a nationwide organization that collects and distributes blankets to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere a child might need comfort.
