Tinkham's film "JERRAD" wins Best Documentary, Best Cinematography at EDU

Burnsville High School senior Scott Tinkham's film, "JERRAD," won Best Documentary and Best Cinematography at the EDU Film Festival, the premier Minnesota film event for high school students on May 13 at the ShowPlace ICON Theater in St. Louis Park.

"'JERRAD' is about a kid with cerebral palsy,” said Scott. “It is about him overcoming his limitations, and not letting his disability define who he is.”

Scott said he capitalizes all the letters in the title "JERRAD" because it's a story that can apply to anyone in their own walks of life, not just Jerrad.

Watch the entire film:

Scott has earned three NATAS-Upper Midwest Region Student Video Production Awards for his video productions in the past two years and will study film production at the University of Arizona next year.
