Class project on fresh fruits and vegetables featured in state newsletter

Students in Amy Tucci’s second grade class put together a book to share what they’ve learned about fresh fruits and vegetable this year, and in turn, their work has been shared statewide.

The book features artwork created by the students and facts they learned about the foods, which they’ve been able to try thanks to the school’s Fresh Fruits & Vegetable Program (FFVP), led by cook manager Karra Hartog.

Their work was the featured story in this month’s FFVP newsletter, sent out statewide by the Minnesota Department of Education.
