Overview
The Facilities Planning process will translate the district’s emerging vision into priorities specifically for our schools and facilities. It’s about providing the infrastructure needed to be successful now and into the future.
Participants will consider how learning environments, investments and resources can support the experiences One91 wants for students.
The Facilities Planning process will consider how district schools and spaces can:
- Support the future student experience and the district’s emerging strategic direction.
- Provide appropriate environments for instruction, collaboration, student services and extracurricular opportunities.
- Address safety, security, accessibility and building-condition needs.
- Support special education, multilingual learning, intervention and other student services.
- Accommodate athletics, activities, community education and community use.
- Adapt to changing student, program and community needs.
- Make responsible use of district facilities, operating funds and taxpayer resources.
- Establish priorities to guide future facility investments and decisions.
When the process is complete, the district will be able to bring a plan or options to the Board of Education that ensure District 191 facilities are future-ready.
