Board Elections
District 191 Board members are elected to four-year terms. Elections are held in even-numbered years, with three seats up for election in one cycle and four seats up for election in the other.
To be eligible to run for a seat on the District 191 Board of Education, you must be eligible to vote in Minnesota, at least 21 years of age, and a resident of District 191 for at least 30 days prior to the election. 2026 School Board Election: Filing period opens July 14
The filing period for Affidavits of Candidacy for our open school board positions runs from July 14-28, 2026. Please contact our school district clerk at solsendickhausen@isd191.org to set up a time to file your paperwork.
Note: Candidates will need to provide proof of residence in District 191. A valid photo ID with the candidate's current name and address or a photo ID and an approved document such as a bill, account or start of service statement dated within 30 days of the filing period.
