'The Wonderful World of Class Acts' hits the stage in February

Once again, staff members will be presenting “Class Acts,” a comedy variety show, to raise scholarship funds for graduating seniors in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191. This is the 37th year of staff performances in District 191.

As a result, more than $250,000 has been presented to students at Burnsville High School, Burnsville Alternative High School and the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage Transition (BEST) program to help pay for college and further educational goals.

This year’s show, called “The Wonderful World of Class Acts,” will feature staff members singing, playing instruments, acting, telling jokes and dancing. As always, there will also be a basket raffle featuring a variety of amazing gifts and treats such as autographed Twins baseballs, Chanhassen DInner Theater tickets, local restaurant gift cards and much more.

"It. Is. Time," said Vista View teacher Jennifer Gandrud channeling her best Rafiki voice. “We are thrilled to once again be on stage performing, and promise that this year's show will be a magical experience! The choir and dance groups are bigger than ever, and there are many new faces this year, including our new staff members from the Philippines.”

Performances are scheduled for Feb. 27 - March 1 at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, March 1.

All performances will be in the Mraz Center for Performing Arts at Burnsville High School, 600 E. Highway 13.

On Feb. 27, admission is $5 for any audience member that wears a Burnsville school shirt, Blazewear or BEA union attire to the performance.

Tickets are $10. Purchase at the door 30 minutes before each show or pre-order by Feb. 21 at krallman@isd191.org.
