Kindergarten information nights scheduled in District 191 schools

Families are invited to attend kindergarten information events in District 191 schools in January and February. 

At these events, parents will have the opportunity to hear from principals, teachers and parents about what to expect in kindergarten, ask questions and complete the enrollment process, if they haven’t already. Children are welcome to attend. 

Tuesday, Jan. 24

  • Edward Neill Elementary, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Rahn Elementary, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Vista View Elementary, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 25
  • One91 Virtual Academy Principal Angie Pohl will host a virtual information night for incoming kindergarten families beginning at 6:30 p.m. Click here to register. 

Thursday, Jan. 26

  • Gideon Pond Elementary, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Harriet Bishop Elementary, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 31 

  • Hidden Valley Elementary, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Sky Oaks Elementary, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

  • William Byrne Elementary, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

To complete enrollment, parents should bring their child’s birth certificate or other proof of age, immunization records, emergency contact information, and a utility bill or other proof of residency (not a driver’s license). Children must be five years old by Sept. 1, 2023, to enroll in kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year.
