Four semifinalists named in District 191 superintendent search

Four candidates will participate in a first round of interviews for the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 superintendent position following the Board of Education’s unanimous vote at a special meeting on April 28.
The four semifinalists are:
- Rebecca Brodeur, associate superintendent, Anoka-Hennepin School District,
- Dr. Tyrone Brookins, assistant superintendent, South Washington County Schools,
- Dr. Latanya Daniels, assistant superintendent, Richfield Public Schools, and
- Dr. Jenna Mitchler, assistant superintendent, Bloomington Public Schools.
A fifth candidate who had been selected to interview withdrew from consideration.
The semifinalists were selected from a pool of 23 applicants based on criteria established by the school board, as well as survey input provided by District 191 staff, families, students and members of the community.
The Board has scheduled interviews for the semifinalists beginning at 4:30 pm on Thursday, May 1.
