Update: No ongoing threat, school will take place tomorrow as normal

Earlier today, we became aware of two separate messages which contained threats and named either Burnsville High School or our two middle schools, Nicollet and Eagle Ridge. We take any threat seriously and in both cases immediately began working with local police to investigate. 

As a precaution, the school day was canceled at BHS and BAHS, and we announced early dismissals at District 191 middle schools and elementary schools. 

This afternoon, police informed us that they had identified and secured the people responsible for the posts, and that there was no ongoing threat to any schools. As a result, we are planning to have a typical school day tomorrow.

District 191 families will receive additional information via email.
