Early Release for all District 191 middle and elementary schools

As a precaution due to an online threat, all District 191 elementary and middle schools are closing early today, Tuesday, December 16. Please note that all students and staff are safe. We are working closely with local police to investigate and will provide families with updates as soon as possible. 

Middle schools will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m. All bus routes will arrive at afternoon stops approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes earlier than normal. All after-school activities and athletics are canceled.

Elementary schools will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m. All bus routes will arrive at afternoon stops approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes earlier than normal. All after-school activities and athletics are canceled.

Staff will remain with students until everyone has left the school safely. 

Other program information

• Afternoon early childhood special education (ECSE) classes are canceled.
• Diamondhead programs are continuing as normal. 
• BEST will be dismissed at 2:45 p.m. Students are returning to Diamondhead from their work assignments.
• After-school activities and athletics are canceled, including Project KIDS, PALS and BYC.
