District 191 receives School Finance Award

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 has received an award for financial reporting from the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), Division of School Finance.

The criteria for fiscal year 2023 financial reporting includes: 

• Timely submission of financial data and compliance with Minnesota Statutes

• Presence of select indicators of fiscal health

• Accuracy in financial reporting

“This shows the community that the district is in good fiscal health and takes deadlines and reporting criteria very seriously,” Director of Finance Tyler Dehne said. “I think it also reflects the high quality and professionalism of the people we have on the finance team.”

The School Finance Award is given annually and recognizes schools for meeting statutory deadlines for submission of audited fiscal financial data and reporting criteria. District 191 was among the 380 school districts out of 574 state-wide to receive the award.
