Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 is proud to announce the launch of the Caring Community Series, a four-event series designed to support the well-being of One91 students and families.
The first session, which will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Nicollet Middle School, is titled Navigating the Virtual Playground: Healthy Choices and Worrisome Pitfalls for Today’s Youth. The presentation details the risks students face when navigating the online world and practical, positive ways adults can respond. Guest speaker will be Alison Feigh of the Zero Abuse Project.
Families will be provided resources, support and information around a variety of pressing issues, including online safety, mental health, bullying, and navigating children's emotional growth and development. Each session will feature a guest speaker and opportunities for discussion with other One91 families.
“We’re excited to introduce the Caring Community Series as part of our commitment to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for our students and their families,” said Assistant Superintendent Chris Bellmont. “These events are designed to provide practical, research-based strategies that will help our students thrive both academically and emotionally. By coming together as a community, we can make a meaningful impact on the well-being of our students.”
