2024 Tech Levy Renewal

Voters will decide on one question, which, if approved, would renew an existing technology level, providing about $4.6 million per year for 10 years. These funds can only be used for specific technology-related expenses, such as individual learning devices (Chromebooks), instructional technology, cyber security software and related services, and technology support staff members.

Approval would allow the district to: 

• Replace aging classroom technology equipment and devices for students and staff,
• Support learning technology programs, such as Schoology and SeeSaw that allow students to access class content and resources,
• Maintain school safety and security systems to protect student, staff and family data, and
• Maintain technology infrastructure and essential support staff for students and staff.

Because it's a renewal of an existing levy, there will be no tax increase if it's approved.

Be a voter!

To vote you must be:

• A U.S. citizen
• At least 18 years old on Election Day (16 and 17 year-olds can pre-register)
• A resident of Minnesota for 20 days
• Not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction
• Not under a court order that revokes your right to vote

Register to vote

It's quick and easy! To register online you will need:

• Your Minnesota driver’s license or Minnesota identification card number, or the last four numbers of your Social Security number
• An email address

You will need to re-register if your name or address changes.

Early Voting

Voters are also able to vote early or by absentee ballot starting on Sept. 20 and ending Nov. 4. Early voting can be done by mail or in person. Visit mnvotes.org to learn more about how to vote and to find
your polling location.

Election Day

You must be 18 years old and a resident of District 191 on Election Day to vote. Polls will be
open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 5, 2024. Your polling location is based on your residence and may be different from previous elections.
