After-School Programming: PALS & BYC

Grades K–5 — PALS

Welcome to the 2020 K-5 PALS Program for District One91! Our after school program is designed for students currently in grades K-5 and focuses on reading, writing, and math development through scientific discovery.

The PALS program runs January 5–May 5 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 4-6 p.m. Classes are virtual, with synchronous instruction delivered through Google Meet.

We will support students by implementing project-based learning activities, and provide opportunities to learn through hands-on science experiments, activities, and reading. Students will accelerate learning in the core content areas, including math, reading, and writing. Students will receive curriculum kits complete with materials, supplies, and hard copies of all assigned work that will be posted on Seesaw. Class sizes will also be smaller than the school day in order to provide more personalized learning for all students.

Questions regarding the PALS program? Please contact Jason Sellars at jsellars@isd191.org or 952-707-4126.
