Volunteers Needed for Our Biggest Family Night on May 18

Everyone is invited to experience a fun and educational evening at Harriet Bishop's International Night on May 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. This FREE event will allow students, families and the community to explore countries around the world by showcasing music, food, information and other aspects. Students in every grade level at our school are learning songs and dances in music class and will be performing at the event.

Six volunteers selected to receive 2017 Coskran Award

Six extraordinary volunteers were honored with the 2017 John Coskran Volunteer Awards in a ceremony in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 on May 11.

"We thank these exceptional volunteers for the positive difference they make in our schools, programs and across the district," said Superintendent Joe Gothard. "Their dedication and support is extraordinary as they volunteer their time and talents to prepare our students to be future ready and to make our community strong."

Harriet Bishop student qualifies for state geography bee

Selena Thach, a fifth grade student at Harriet Bishop Elementary School in Savage, has qualified to compete at the state level of the National Geographic Bee.

Selena won the school competition earlier this year and then completed a qualifying test through the National Geographic Society. Only the top 100 students in Minnesota were selected to participate in the state bee.
