Art teacher receives Inclusive Practices Award in District 191

Art is a universal language that everyone can understand and all students are artists, according to art teacher Kelly Rae Vo.

Vo’s inclusive classroom and instructional practices have resulted in her being named as the recipient of the Inclusive Education Practices Award for the 2017-18 school year in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191, according to Stephanie White, the district’s director of student services.

MWS Staff vs. Students

Each classroom will have their own jug to collect coins.  The staff jug will be in the Teacher’s Lounge.  Every day, coins will be counted and students and staff will be updated on who is in the lead. 

The top collection classroom will get a comfy clothes/jammies day!!

From fan to scholarship winner to participant, teacher’s ties to Class Acts are deep

In one way or another, Meghan Jermeland has been part of Class Acts since it began 30 years ago in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191.

She grew up with it and has continued her commitment to the annual teacher comedy variety show, which has raised a total of $345,000 for scholarships for graduates at Burnsville High School and Burnsville Alternative High School.
