Burnsville High School is top public school in newspaper survey

Burnsville High School is among award winners in the annual Readers’ Choice Survey of Sun ThisWeek and the Dakota County Tribune newspapers.

Every year the newspapers invite readers to choose their favorites in multiple categories. Results are tallied and Readers’ Choice Award Winners are announced.  

Burnsville High School was selected as the Best Public School in the Award Winners List 2018.

In the Readers' Choice Awards for 2017, Burnsville High School Principal Dave Helke ranked #1 Best Principal.

District 191 presents a free two-part series on drug addiction

Burnsville High School is partnering with Eastview High School (EVHS) and Dakota County to present a two-part series on addiction and chemical use/abuse on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at Eastview High School Performing Arts Center, located at 6200 140th Street West in Apple Valley, and Tuesday, Nov. 14 at the Diamondhead Education Center, located at 200 W. Burnsville Parkway in Burnsville.

These free events are intended for adults.

Partnership will provide students with access to county library systems

Students at Burnsville High School and Burnsville Alternative High School will have instant access to the vast resources of two county library systems — without having to worry about overdue fines — through a new collaboration that begins May 22.
