Internships will launch BHS students into corporate workplace

Seven students attend school each morning at Burnsville High School and then head out to work in the corporate world.

They were selected to participate in an internship program of Genesys Works, a not-for-profit organization that enables selected high school students to “break through barriers and discover through meaningful work experiences that they can succeed as professionals in the corporate world,” according to the website at www.genesysworks.org.

ExploreEDU event at BHS will showcase innovative use of educational technology

From the one-to-one Chromebook program and expanded use of collaborative Google apps to technology-enhanced classrooms and an online learning management system, Burnsville High School students and staff are using a host of new technology tools to improve learning this year. Because of that innovation, the school has been chosen as a showcase for an ExploreEDU event in partnership with Google and Best Buy Education.
