BHS seniors are state picks
for national science camp trip

Two students are selected each year to represent Minnesota at the National Youth Science Camp and this year both students are from Burnsville High School.

Seniors Carissa Kloncz and Ryan Pinkalla earned all-expenses paid spots at the camp in West Virginia which features lectures form top research and academic scientists, daily hands-on seminars and other activities, as well as opportunities for students to explore the Monongahela National Forest and visit the National Radio Astronomy Observatory at Green Bank.

Donate blood on May 8

The Red Cross Community Bloodmobile will be at the Burnsville Senior Center in the Diamondhead Education Center on Tuesday, May 8 from 1:30-6:30 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

According to the Red Cross, someone needs blood every minute of every day. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor. Please support the Red Cross' effort to maintain a safe and stable blood supply by making the decision to donate blood today.

The Burnsville Senior Center is located at 200 W. Burnsville Pkwy on the lower level. For more information about the American Red Cross or to schedule an appointment to donate blood, go to www.redcross.org.
