Blog: Metcalf students create inventions to solve real-life problems
The school secretary has three dogs that shed a lot and are terrified of the vacuum cleaner.
The principal is short and has a very high car so it's hard for her to brush the snow off.
The guidance counselor leads a hectic life at work and home which makes it a challenge to be organized.
After learning about different 1920s inventions recently, students in Mary Stucynski's 8th grade social studies class became real-life inventors themselves. They interviewed secretaries, counselors, teachers, and the principal and asked about issues and challenges they face in their daily lives.

 Once again this year, our local Cedar Diffley BP station is supporting our school with "Fillin' Up for Metcalf." Every first Wednesday of the month, they'll donate 5 cents per gallon of gas pumped straight to Metcalf Junior High.
