We would like to remind all visitors that they must enter the school through the main school doors, sign in with the office and get a visitor sticker before entering the building. And, for the safety and security of our students, we require a photo ID for anyone picking up students during school hours, and for anyone visiting or volunteering in our school
COMMUNICATIONS TO FAMILIES:
School information will be sent through School Messenger (all-school voicemail, text message or email) and through Seesaw (your student's classroom communication tool).
Information on delayed starts and school closings will be posted on our website and shared with families via phone and email, if we have your correct contact information on file. This information is also broadcast on AM radio station WCCO (830) and TV stations KARE (channel 11) and KSTP (channel 5). Please listen for District 191 Burnsville-Eagan-Savage.
VISTA VIEW COLD-WEATHER GUIDELINE:
Student safety is always our number one concern. In accordance with the ISD191 district standard, Vista View staff will keep students indoors before school, after school, and during recess if temperatures or combination of temperature and wind speed (wind chill) are below 0 degrees F. Students will participate in outdoor recess time if the temperatures or combination of temperature and wind speed (wind chill) are 0 degrees F or above.
If your student needs to stay indoors during recess for a health-related reason, please contact your child’s teacher before school starts. If your student needs to stay indoors for a long period of time due to health-related reasons, please provide a doctor’s note to the Vista View Health Office. Thank you for your cooperation.
