This past weekend, two of Burnsville's FTC Robotics Teams with Metcalf students competed at a Qualifier Tournament.
FTC Team 10430 - Wiring Warriors won the tournament's Motivate Award! William Moe and Campbell White are team members.
FTC Team 5923 - Metal Monsters was a part of the tournaments Finalist Alliance, taking 2nd place in the competition at their very first tournament ever!! The team includes: Amy Portillo, Dominic Rowell, Harsha Pillai, Ian Englund, Jenna Barta and Trevor Inglis

Come check out quiz bowl. Quiz bowl is an academic competition that pits teams of up to four students against each other in an attempt to answer questions as quickly as possible. Question topics range from literature and mythology to geography, history, science and math.
Quiz Bowl practices each Monday at Metcalf Middle School in the tech ed area from 3:00-4:30 pm. Additionally, Metcalf students are invited to attend high school practices on Tuesdays and Fridays as soon as the activity bus can get you to the high school until 4:30 in C282.
We have a number of tournaments and events left this year to compete in. Our next tournament is Saturday, January 27 at BHS.
Metcalf had a team of sixth graders playing at the last tournament and took sixth place, the highest finish of any team of sixth graders. Eagle Ridge won the tournament though - and you don't want them to keep winning do you? Come to the next practice on Monday!
There will be NO BYC today.
Congratulations to Hailey Erickson who won the Lion's Peace Poster Contest. She is now invited to their Midwinter Convention on January 7th. Nice job, Hailey!!METCALF YEARBOOK
Metcalf yearbook students will meet after school in the SDC on Tuesday, November 28th from 3:00-4:15. See Ms. Maidment if you have questions!
The pickup date for the PTO fundraiser items will be Wednesday, November 29th. Families will be notified the week of November 27th to let them know when items can be picked up. Thank you.

We will be offering Science Fair help on the following dates after school in Room 110:

Sessions run from 3:00-4:15 pm. The Science Fair Parent Viewing will be on January 10 at 6:00 p.m.
