My name is Morgan Stampley, I was born in Norfolk, VA, but I was primarily raised in Minneapolis, MN. I attended high school at St. Paul Highland Park, then went on to earn my Bachelors in Special Education at Minnesota State University-Mankato; as well as, my Masters in Educational Leadership. In my 6 years at MSU, I served as the leader for our 800 African American student outreach program. I was also a member of both the indoor and outdoor Track & Field teams, which won Conference Championship titles, and I personally captured 2 records.
I've served as an AAU Track & Field coach for the last 5 years with the program Track Minnesota Elite, which serves predominately African American youth. For the last 6 years, we've had a 100% success rate in sending all of our seniors to college, and in the last 14 years, we've had a 96% success rate in senior enrollment in college. Through this experience, I have decided to serve in the role of youth development instead of classroom teacher.
I was a first generation college attendee and know the power of positive school relationships. I'm so excited for this opportunity and I can't wait to be a part of everything District One91 is.
