Kristine Black became principal at Hidden Valley Elementary in 2015. She began working in District 191 as principal at Gideon Pond Elementary in 2011.
Black began her education career by teaching grades K-6 in Florida. She returned to her home state of Minnesota to work in Woodbury as a teacher and lead teacher. Most recently she was an elementary principal with East Metro Integration District for six years before being named as principal at Gideon Pond four years ago.
She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education (Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida), a master’s degree in elementary education (Winona State), administrative licensure K-12 from Saint Mary’s University.
