At Edward Neill Elementary School, we serve a diverse community of about 400 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. With talented and dedicated staff, and support from parents and community members, we are focused on providing education that responds to our students’ needs, meets and exceeds state standards, and fulfills the mission of our district to make each student “real world ready.”
What Makes Us Unique
Neill STARS - We know that students learn best when they feel safe and part of a supportive community. Through our STARS program (Succeed Together, Act Responsibly & Safely) we stress common behavior expectations, reward those who demonstrate it, and model it on a daily basis.
Responsive Instruction - Everything we do is geared toward meeting the needs of our students. From adjusting our daily schedule to ensure teachers have time to work & plan together, to pursuing a “push-in” model of intervention that stresses small group instruction and fosters a culture of shared responsibility, we are committed to academic success.
Active Classroom - Neill is a leader among elementary schools in recognizing the importance of physical activity when it comes to learning. Active Classroom is a model that incorporates regular movement into classroom learning activities throughout the day. When they are active, students are more engaged and attentive, and that means better learning and greater success.
