More Information

Burnsville High School is a member of the South Suburban Conference, one of the newest conferences in Minnesota. The school offers 28 extra-curricular athletic activities including cheerleading and dance. There are 15 girls' activities and 13 boys' activities with more than 1,200 students participating annually. Check out the South Suburban Conference website for competitions dates and times along with cancelations of events.

National research indicates that participation in co-curricular activities is a high predictor of success in post high school and career work. Participation is also viewed with great interest by colleges and universities in processing applications.

Burnsville High School has a history and tradition of excellence in athletics, winning numerous conference, section and state titles. Many BHS student-athletes have received college scholarships for their skills and abilities.

All candidates for BHS sports are reminded that they must be cleared by having their sports packet completed including their physical up to date and participation fee paid prior to the start of opening day practice.

In high school athletics, the coach is the final authority on issues such as cuts, playing time, substitutions, team discipline, etc. Always, contact the coach first with any question or concern regarding your son/daughter.
