What is Schoology?
ISD191 Schoology is a secure online program that serves as a central hub for learning. Teachers can create, manage and share information and resources with their students. Students using ISD191 Schoology can get class assignments, link to readings and guides selected by their teacher, collaborate with classmates, and work on self-paced learning activities.
Are all teachers using ISD191 Schoology?
While Schoology will be a powerful tool available for all District 191 teachers, implementation will take place over a couple of years. For 2017-18 school year, students and teachers at District 191 high schools and middle schools will be expanding their use of Schoology. Other teachers will be implementing as they are comfortable, and its use will vary based on teacher need and preference.
How do I get on Schoology?
To log into ISD191 Schoology you will need:
- Schoology Account (free from www.schoology.com)
- Parent Access Code (provided by your child’s teacher)
What if I have a Schoology Account from another district?
If you have a child in another district and already have a Schoology account, please use the following directions to link your accounts.
What will I be able to see in my student's ISD191 Schoology account? Will I be able to participate in my child's class?
You will be able to see your child’s class assignments and assignment submissions. You will not be able to participate or observe classroom activities.
How does ISD191 Schoology differ from ParentVUE?
ParentVUE is a central location for information on your child’s attendance, course schedules, records and contact information. Schoology is a more specific look at your child’s academic schedule for classes and links for homework and assignments.
