Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 has named Guillaume Paek as the interim athletics and activities director. Paek comes to the District from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis, where he served as the athletics director since 2011.
In announcing the hire, BHS Principal Dave Helke praised Paek’s experience and energy in leading athletics and activities.
“I am fired up to be a part of the Burnsville community,” Paek said. “I am also excited for the opportunity to grow professionally and make personal connections with the students and staff of Burnsville High School and District 191, and the strong, supportive community of Burnsville.”
Paek will be responsible for the more than 66 athletics and activities programs at Burnsville High School and the district’s three middle schools. He was named Region 6AA Athletics Director of the Year in 2015. He previously taught social studies in Minneapolis schools and was a participant in the Collaborative Urban Educator Program at St. Thomas University
Paek’s start date in District 191 was Oct. 23.
