Volunteer at MWS
Your involvement is a very important part of your child’s education. Spending time with your child has a positive impact on a student’s self-concept and their ability to face new challenges. Parent volunteers play a valuable role at school.
Opportunities to volunteer on a scheduled, year-long basis (weekly or monthly) or one-time special event opportunities are available.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PROGRAM
For the first 5 hours you and your family volunteer, a book will automatically be donated to the school library. For each additional 25 hours up to 100 hours, an additional book up to a maximum of 5 books will be donated to the MWS Media Center on your families behalf. This program is sponsored by the MWS PTO and funded by the Scholastic Book Fairs. Any questions, please contact Pam Voigt, Volunteer Coordinator.

Show your school spiritwear and join the fun at the annual Spring Fling Spiritwear Dance on Friday, April 28. The cost is only $2 per student. Concessions will be available for purchase. Volunteers needed to help with admissions and concessions. Please see the link below if you can help.

We are having an All Star Lunch Date on Tuesday, May 8 in conjunction with the annual Buy One Get One Free Book Fair. We encourage each student to invite a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, neighbor, dear one or other awesome adult to join them for lunch – either purchase ($3.90/adult) or bring your own lunch. $2/Gift Certificate to the BOGO Book Fair, free popcorn and prize drawings during lunch.
SIGN UP DEADLINE IS APRIL 26
Calling all 4th and 5th grade students and families! We need 2 to 3 4th / 5th grade students to help for each shift: 5 - 6 PM; 6-7 PM; 7-8 PM. Culver’s donates 10% of proceeds Marion W. Savage Elementary. Volunteers help with light food service duties working with Culver’s employees. See the sign up link for more information.

District 191 has updated its background check requirements for volunteers for the 2017-2018. If you are planning to volunteer as a field trip chaperone, a background check will be required. Click the online link to submit your background check information as soon as possible.
