Special Education Advisory Council
Parents, Guardians, Educators, and other interested parties,
You have heard of PTO, Site Council and other special interest groups, but have you heard of SEAC? The Special Education Advisory Council needs you!
We are seeking parent members from every school in our district. Come learn about district policies first hand and make a difference in the lives of our children.
The purpose of this council is to advise the Executive Director of Student Services regarding current issues, program development, and departmental priorities. The membership of the council includes parents, students with disabilities, community agencies, and school staff. Members serve a two-year term and are eligible to serve two consecutive terms. We strive to have representatives from all areas of disability and various age ranges. For more information regarding SEAC, please see A Parent's Guide to Special Education Advisory Councils below.
The SEAC meets a minimum of 5 times per year on Monday evenings from 6-8 PM at Diamondhead Education Center, 200 West Burnsville Parkway, ISS Conference room #208; enter door 3. For more information contact Stephanie White at 952-707-6261 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
