The City of Savage will celebrate its second annual Service Day Saturday on April 16 with volunteer opportunities, family fun and community partnerships.
Seventh-grade students who were born in 2002 or 2003 recently had the chance to talk with community members much older than they are.
Any day is a good day to promote community and celebrate service, but Saturday, April 18 will be an exceptional day to do that in the city of Savage thanks to the efforts of Shrey Pothini, a fifth grader at Harriet Bishop Elementary School.
Second grade students at Marion W. Savage Elementary School are already having an impact on their community. They’ve been meeting with Mayor Janet Williams on the topic of improvements at Savage Community Park.
