Metcalf Junior High will host an information night for parents about the school's Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program on March 12 at 7:30 p.m. The mission of AVID is to ensure that all students, especially students in the academic middle, will succeed in the most rigorous honors/ Advanced Placement curriculum while participating in school activities. AVID is a college prep program; it is not remedial.
