The school that reads together; learns together. That’s certainly the case with Sioux Trail Elementary School in Burnsville with its project called “Sioux Trail Reads: One School, One Book.” The same book will be read and then discussed by students, parents and staff members.
February is I LOVE TO READ MONTH at Sioux Trail. Our theme this year is a take off on the STARS WARS craze...BOOK WARS: Entering the reading dimension.
This February, celebrate reading with Gideon Pond Elementary and "I Love to Read" month. This year's theme is "Leaping into a Year of Reading at Pond!"
Students and staff will be taking part in fun reading activities all month long, including:
- Book reviews
- Frog-themed punch cars to track reading
- Reading goals for each class and prizes
- Celebrity readers, including Burnsville Mayor Elizabeth Kautz and Superintendent Joe Gothard
- And much more!
Watch how reading makes everything more exciting at Pond!
We are reading! TOGETHER. And are so excited about this event!
