Come out and cheer on the Blaze football team as they take on the Minnetonka Skippers in this year's Homecoming football game! Tickets for the game will be on sale until Friday, Sept. 12 in the Athletics office. The price is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Purchase tickets early to avoid the lines! Gates will open at Bob Pates Stadium at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
Burnsville students in grades 7-12 are invited to join the BHS Bowling Team!
Bowling is an Independent Provider Sport at Burnsville High School. Bowling is co-ed sport in the fall and a girls-only sport in the winter. Members of the bowling teams are eligible for varsity letters.
This year, the BHS Career Center is staffed with a representative, Abby Lincoln, from College Possible. She will be helping students search for and apply to colleges, along with preparing students for the ACT.
Parents of all senior students are invited to attend a kickoff meeting on Monday, Sept. 15 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the Senior All Night Party 2015! To make this a memorable evening, we need parent help! Planned and hosted by the senior parents, the All Night Party will take place at BHS after graduation – the time to start planning is now! Tickets for the Homecoming dance will be on sale during all lunches beginning Friday, Sept. 5. Cost for the dance is $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

The Burnsville Blazettes Dance Team is hosting its 10th Annual Brunch and Silent Auction on Sunday, Sept. 7, at McHugh’s in Savage. The event, which is the team’s primary fundraiser, runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and features an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet. The Blazettes will be performing throughout the event.
Burnsville High School Baseball and Hockey Boosters have joined together with numerous organizations to show support for the families of Ty Alyea and Cole Borchardt.
This year we will be hosting a reception and induction ceremony for the BHS Hall of Fame at Burnsville High School in the Mraz Center on Friday, Sept. 5. We are excited to announce this year’s inductees: Jim Banke, Janet L. Barke Cain, James Campbell, Denise Johnson Hennen, Neal Jeppson, Lance Werness, and the 1972 Burnsville High School Football Team. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m.
Burnsville Senior High School’s Open House for all classes at the main campus and senior campus is set for Aug.27 beginning at 4 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m. Our open house format is designed to allow parents and students to come any time from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. to both the main campus and senior campus to meet teachers and learn about classes.
