ASVAB test set for Thursday, March 19

An ASVAB test is scheduled at Burnsville High School on Thursday, March 19 at 9 a.m. If you are a senior and have not passed the Reading or Math MCA Test you need to take the ASVAB, ACT or Accuplacer in order to graduate.

If you are interested in taking the ASVAB, a sign-up sheet is located in the Attendance Office. The cut-off date to sign-up for this test is Friday, March 13.

BHS eligible for $15,000 grant in "Drive for Education" contest

Chevy is an on-going supporter of high schools nationwide through grants and scholarships, and Burnsville High School is one of eight high schools that received a $2,500 grant to enhance academic or extra-curricular programs at the school. BHS now has an opportunity to receive an upgraded grant of $15,000, which will be presented on March 7 during the Minnesota State High School League Boys Hockey Tournament championship games.

Senior hockey star Dupre named a semi-finalist in ASPIRE Athlete of the Week

Throughout the school year, ASPIRE Beverage Company recognizes the greatness of exceptional high school senior student-athletes through the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week program.

In each participating state/region, athletic directors and coaches nominate senior student-athletes each week based upon the greatness they have displayed in:

Athletic booster meetings slated for Sunday, March 1

Students who are interested in participating in badminton, boys' and girls' track and field and softball should plan on attending the athletic booster meeting with their parent(s) at Burnsville High School on Sunday, March 1. Team-specific meetings will begin at 7 p.m (badminton in C180; boys' track in Mraz; softball in Mraz; and girls' track in Media Center) followed by a large group meeting in the Mraz Center with the Athletic Director at 8 p.m.
