BHS eligible for $15,000 grant in "Drive for Education" contest

Chevy is an on-going supporter of high schools nationwide through grants and scholarships, and Burnsville High School is one of eight high schools that received a $2,500 grant to enhance academic or extra-curricular programs at the school. BHS now has an opportunity to receive an upgraded grant of $15,000, which will be presented on March 7 during the Minnesota State High School League Boys Hockey Tournament championship games.

Senior hockey star Dupre named a semi-finalist in ASPIRE Athlete of the Week

Throughout the school year, ASPIRE Beverage Company recognizes the greatness of exceptional high school senior student-athletes through the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week program.

In each participating state/region, athletic directors and coaches nominate senior student-athletes each week based upon the greatness they have displayed in:

Athletic booster meetings slated for Sunday, March 1

Students who are interested in participating in badminton, boys' and girls' track and field and softball should plan on attending the athletic booster meeting with their parent(s) at Burnsville High School on Sunday, March 1. Team-specific meetings will begin at 7 p.m (badminton in C180; boys' track in Mraz; softball in Mraz; and girls' track in Media Center) followed by a large group meeting in the Mraz Center with the Athletic Director at 8 p.m.

Parent-teacher conferences set for March 18-19

We invite all parents to attend parent conferences with their child on the evening of Wednesday, March 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and the morning of Thursday, March 19 from 7:30-11 a.m.  Please note the time changes for conferences from the district calendar.

Prior to conferences, please look up your child's schedule on SchoolView so you know the teachers you need to see. Also, think about any specific questions you may have regarding your child's performance in a class so you are prepared to ask them at the conference.
