Chevy is an on-going supporter of high schools nationwide through grants and scholarships, and Burnsville High School is one of eight high schools that received a $2,500 grant to enhance academic or extra-curricular programs at the school. BHS now has an opportunity to receive an upgraded grant of $15,000, which will be presented on March 7 during the Minnesota State High School League Boys Hockey Tournament championship games.

At not much more than five feet tall, Burnsville High School senior Jaqueline Le Vvintre may not fit a military stereotype. But that hasn’t stopped her from earning a $180,000 college scholarship from the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC), one of only a dozen granted to high school students in the Midwest.
Students who are interested in participating in badminton, boys' and girls' track and field and softball should plan on attending the athletic booster meeting with their parent(s) at Burnsville High School on Sunday, March 1. Team-specific meetings will begin at 7 p.m (badminton in C180; boys' track in Mraz; softball in Mraz; and girls' track in Media Center) followed by a large group meeting in the Mraz Center with the Athletic Director at 8 p.m.
Parent-teacher conferences will be held tonight, Thursday, Feb. 26, 5-8:30 p.m. All parents are welcome to come and conference with their student's teacher during the timeframe. Burnsville High School will be hosting another set of conferences on Wednesday, March 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Thursday, March 19, 7:30-11 a.m.

Congratulations to the boys hockey team in their overtime victory against second-seeded Prior Lake on Saturday, Feb. 21 in the Section 2AA semifinals at the Bloomington Ice Gardens. The Blaze will be up against top-seeded Edina in the final on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
