Seven seniors at Burnsville High School are among the most academically-talented scholars in the country based upon their performance in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship program.
Burnsville High School students crowned seniors Daniel Akah and Olivia Brammer as their 2017 Homecoming King and Queen in a coronation Sept. 21.
Attendants walked into a darkened, jam-packed gymnasium, with background music welcoming them in and a spotlight and floor lights illuminating their way. Last year's Homecoming King Charlie Green and Homecoming Queen Egeziharya Yilma were on hand to crown the new king and queen. (See Slideshow)

Burnsville High School graduate Scott Tinkham is a finalist for the National Student Production Awards in two categories for videos he created while he was a student at BHS. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees on Sept. 12.
Broadway musical, “The Music Man,” opens Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Mraz Center for the Performing Arts at Burnsville High School, located at 600 E. Hwy 13.
Several Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 student-led service groups are responding to the overwhelming needs of schools and students affected by Hurricane Harvey early in September.

Burnsville High School’s Blazettes dance team will host a dance clinic at the high school on Sunday, Sept. 17 from 1-5 p.m. for students in grades grades K-6. Dancers will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon and discover what it is like to be a Blazette!
Participants will learn a dance routine with the Blazettes and their coaches and have the opportunity to perform in the pre-game show at the Blaze football game on Friday, Sept. 22.
The clinic costs $40 and includes dance instruction, a Blazettes t-shirt, snack and dancer admission to the football game on Sept. 22.
Parking permits will be available for purchase through FeePay for seniors only beginning Wednesday, Aug. 9 through Aug. 15. On Aug. 16, the sale will be open to juniors and sophomores.
Student parking applications need to be completed and submitted with payment through FeePay.
Prior to being issued a parking permit, students must present a valid driver's license and proof of insurance to Chris Beckers, Bursar, who is located in the attendance office.
